PTSA Board Updates for 2025-2026
At our final membership meeting of the school year, members elected Karin Potter as Secretary and Krystal ParkerMeyer as Treasurer. We’re grateful to both for stepping into these important roles.
At the time of the election, no candidates had come forward for the roles of President or Vice President. To ensure a smooth transition and continued leadership over the summer, the PTSA board met and is pleased to share that Maggie Rynearson has been appointed Interim President, and Liz Wong will continue as Interim Vice President until the positions are filled. Thank you Maggie and Liz!!! Elections will be held at our first membership meeting. Stay tuned for more details.
We are still actively seeking volunteers to join the PTSA leadership team. If you’re interested in getting involved or learning more about open roles, we’d love to hear from you! It’s a meaningful way to support ILHS and stay connected during the high school years.
Please complete the Volunteer Interest Form if you are interested in being part of the team next year or just want to know more about the opportunities available. |

2025 ILHS PTSA Grants In Action |
|
|
In the second round of student grants, ILHS PTSA was pleased to award two grants to student led projects.
E-Sports Tech Equipment
The ILHS E-Sports Club was given a grant to purchase tech equipment to enhance the quality of their live streams.
“The PTSA grant formed an integral part of our Charity Stream and the E-Sports Club overall. Having the right equipment has allowed us to produce better content, teach members valuable real-world skills, and raise over $10,000 for charity in just 48 hours. The cameras and microphones will be used in nearly every stream we do - from our weekly broadcasts to future Charity Streams. The grant has already paid dividends and will continue to be a major asset in helping every member of the E-Sports Club reach their potential for years to come.”
— Max W., ILHS E-Sports Club President (2024-2025)
Innovation Lab Mural Project
In addition, the PTSA awarded a grant to support a student-led mural project in the Innovation Lab elevator bays. This project brings vibrant, student-designed artwork to previously plain walls, serving both as an accessibility tool and a way to honor the Indigenous people of Turtle Island (the native lands of what we know as Canada, Mexico, and the United States). Each mural includes the name of an Indigenous community. See photos of the beautiful murals below. |
